Tytron Thermography

Tytron Thermography

What is Thermography?
Thermography is a safe, painless, and reliable test that measures the infrared heat emitted from the body’s surface; without the use of radiation. Unlike many other tests, Thermography is unique in that it has the ability to display areas of nerve irritation. Since the health of the nervous system
can determine the health of the body, this examination provides critical information which is vital to your care.

The process is based on a precise analysis of the body’s surface temperature along the spine. Differences in temperature between opposite sides of the spine are compared to established normal values in the same way blood tests are. The significance of these temperature differences may indicate the presence of abnormal nervous system function.

In less than 15 seconds the Tytron can be used to find these areas of asymmetry as well as indicating areas that may be warm due to acute soft tissue damage, joint inflammation, disc protrusion, and other spinal related conditions. Colder regions may indicate long term chronic issues. The Tytron Paraspinal Thermal Scanner utilizes precision sensors, special lenses and unique focusing barrels. The Tytron takes multiple temperature readings along the spine starting from the low back to the upper neck. The scanner rolls up your spine while performing this painless test. It can be completed on patients ranging from infants to adults.

Why do Chiropractors use it?

The focus of chiropractic care is proper nervous system function. Since the nervous system controls and coordinates every function in the body, normal nervous system function becomes the core reason for good health. These nerves run from the brain, down the spinal column, and out to affect various organs throughout the body including your eyes, ears, lungs, kidneys, skin and even your heart.

Chiropractic focuses on a specific condition that robs the body of normal nerve impulses. This condition is called spinal subluxation. The subluxation is defined as an abnormal positioning and/or mechanical function of the spine that interferes with the normal functioning of the nervous system.

By using the Tytron and comparing spinal temperature differences to established normal values, a chiropractor can make important decisions about the health of your nervous system and what care may be needed. The results of these tests are readily available to discuss and view.

Neural irritation may also begin without warning as subluxations return. Regular chiropractic care may improve your quality of life by correcting these subluxations.
